Design & Build · Seattle, WA
One team draws it, builds it, and lets you walk through it first.
Adams Miles Design Build handles ADUs, additions, and remodels from first sketch to final nail — and before a single wall goes up, you can step through an immersive virtual reality walkthrough of your own project.
Why you'll be glad you chose us
Design and build, one team
No handoff between an architect's office and a general contractor who's never met them. The team that draws your addition is the same team on the jobsite making sure it gets built the way it was drawn.
See it before it's built
Will spent over a decade building VR and visualization software for a major general contractor. That means your project can be modeled and walked through in 3D before a permit is even filed — not a flat rendering, a space you move through.
Licensed trades where it counts
Electrical and plumbing are always handled by licensed, bonded, and insured subcontractors we work with directly. You get careful carpentry and project oversight from us, and code-compliant work from the trades that specialize in it.
What we take on
ADUs
Detached and attached accessory dwelling units, from feasibility and design through permitting and construction — for rental income, aging parents, or a home office that actually feels separate.
Additions & remodels
Second stories, kitchen and bath remodels, bump-outs, and whole-floor renovations, designed around how your household actually uses the space, not just the square footage.
Design-build project management
One point of contact from concept through closeout: budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and coordinating every subcontractor, so you're not the general contractor on your own house.
Who we are
Will Adams
Will holds a master's degree in architecture from the University of Minnesota. He spent nearly fifteen years developing and deploying design, visualization, and building tools for a top-20 national general contractor, specializing in custom immersive virtual reality software. He's also an experienced carpenter and general tradesman — giving him a depth of design and construction experience most architects simply don't have.
Hugh Miles
Hugh has worked as a freelance carpenter in the Seattle area for more than five years, building the kind of field experience that only comes from running real jobs: framing, finish work, troubleshooting the problems that show up once the walls are open. He's the steady hand on site making sure what was designed gets built right.
Let's talk about your project
Tell us what you're thinking about — an ADU, an addition, a remodel that's been on your mind — and we'll start with a conversation, not a sales pitch.
